Desiree's past experience covers a wide range of matter types, but she currently focuses her practice on advancing social justice causes. She has previously represented clients in areas such as the Open Public Meetings Act, protecting intellectual property, guardianships and estate planning, property law, local ordinance compliance, contract drafting, personal injury and other torts. She has also provided support on First and Second Amendment law, telecommunications siting, environmental regulation, ADA compliance, and affordable housing.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Desiree worked for several years as a professional economist and as a teacher, and she draws on this experience when working with clients in a variety of situations. Whether you need an in-depth analysis of the facts or a patient ear, Desiree has you covered.
During law school, Desiree headed the Education, Law & Public Policy Review and served on Washington Law Review. She was the Legal Writing Center Student Director and the co-captain of her moot court team. Desiree also spent a year as Student Liaison to the Minority & Justice Commission of the Washington State Supreme Court.
